A long day has taken its toll on me, and I’m experiencing some technical issues, so bear with my brusque demeanor as I try to solve this puzzle and take a nap. And maybe toss my computer out the window if things don’t improve soon!

For those looking for Sunday’s Pips, you can find our guide right here.

Pips is a game where you have a grid of colored boxes, each representing a different condition that you need to achieve. You have a limited number of dominoes to fill in the grid, and you must use every one of them correctly to win. The game has three tiers: Easy, Medium, and Difficult.

Let’s take a closer look at an example of a difficult tier Pips puzzle:

The grid features various symbols and numbers, each with its own color. On the far left, the three purple squares must not equal one another, as indicated The two pink squares next to that must add up to zero. The zig-zagging blue squares all must be equal.

Rotating dominoes is necessary since they need to fit into place in a specific way. There are other conditions beyond these, such as “less than” or “greater than,” which require careful consideration.

To win, you must use up all your dominoes. Sometimes there’s only one solution, but other times there can be multiple ways to solve the puzzle. You can play today’s Pips puzzle here.

Below are the solutions for the Easy and Medium tier Pips. After that, I’ll walk you through the Hard puzzle. Spoilers ahead!

The Hard Pips puzzle features an “O” and an “o.” Let’s start with the little guy, Blue 4, which probably needs four 1’s. We do have a 1/1 domino in our stash.

Place either the 5/1 or the 6/1 domino from Green > 10 into Blue 4 and the 1/1 domino above that in the next Blue 4 tiles. Then, move the 1/3 oes from Blue 1 into Pink 4 and finally, insert the 1/6 or 1/5 domino from Pink 4 down into Green > 10.
