Northern Railway Restores 214 Trains Across Delhi Area

Northern Railway restored 214 passenger train services across the Delhi area after regional track congestion cleared. The decision followed normalisation of rail traffic around major regional junctions. However, rail officials confirmed that 30 train services will remain cancelled for the day.
Three additional services will operate on shortened routes.
Northern Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay confirmed the step in an official statement. He explained why several trains faced cancellation in recent days. noting that in view of Traffic congestion in the DLI area.
Several passenger trains were being cancelled to facilitate smooth train operations, Upadhyay said. noting that as the situation has now been normalized, all passenger trains cancelled earlier have been restored, he added.

Northern, Railway said. regular timetables took effect from Sunday, October 11. "All the train services will run as per the normal schedule from 11/10/26(00:00hrs)," the national transporter stated.
The restoration covers several high-density suburban corridors across the national capital region. Services between Delhi and Ghaziabad are operating again. Daily passenger trains connecting Delhi to Aligarh and Agra to Palwal resumed their scheduled trips.
Normal operations also returned to routes linking New Delhi with Ghaziabad and Panipat.
Trains running between Kurukshetra Junction and Delhi are moving along their standard lines. Services between Panipat and Ambala have also resumed operations. The complete operational update reviewed 249 train services in total.
Out of those trains, 214 services are running again across regional lines.
Despite the broad resumption, 30 passenger trains remain cancelled for the day. These cancelled operations include train 64002 running from Panipat to Delhi Jn. Service 64414 between Delhi Jn and Ghaziabad also stayed cancelled.

Railway authorities also cancelled services numbered 64105, 64426, and 64567.
Train 01941 and train 01942 running between Agra Cantt and Palwal did not run. Train 14332 from Kalka to Delhi Jn via Saharanpur was also called off. Multiple services to Jind, Shamli, Rewari, and Farukhnagar faced temporary cancellations as well.
Three passenger services faced partial route cuts on Sunday. Train 15308 from Sirsa to Tilak Bridge started from Rewari after the Sirsa leg was cancelled. Train 54310 from Hisar to Delhi Jn via Rewari operated only between Rewari and Delhi.
Northern Railway teams continue monitoring station tracks to prevent fresh delays across the capital network.
