Nani Breaks Silence on 'A' Rating for The Paradise

Nani, the lead actor of the upcoming action entertainer The Paradise, has finally broken his silence on receiving an 'A' rating from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film, which is set to release on September 24, has been passed by the CBFC due to its high levels of violence.

According to Nani, the decision to rate the film was based on a thoughtful evaluation of its content. Officials acknowledged that the movie features a considerable amount of violence. However, emphasized that it is not gratuitous and instead serves a deliberate narrative purpose.

Unlike some films that prioritize violence as an end in itself. The Paradise takes a more balanced approach, blending drama with emotional resonance. The film's creators aimed to craft a commercially viable, relatable experience that would appeal to audiences across various age groups.

However, due to the high level of violence, the film is not suitable for young viewers, making it a more mature, parental-oriented choice.

Nani's vision for the film is rooted in the universal human experiences that audiences can easily identify with – drama. Emotions, and a love story – all common elements found in most films. However, the film's portrayal of violence is notably more intense than many of its peers.

The filmmakers, according to Nani, deliberately aimed to push the boundaries, resulting in an adult rating. This decision was made during the production process, with the team anticipating the outcome.

The makers of The Paradise were asked to make several changes to the film. This includes replacing alternate visuals of the National Flag, modifying a pregnant woman's visuals, and covering a scene with CGI. The film's duration was also reduced to make it more suitable for an 'A' rating.

The Paradise is set to release in cinemas on September 24. The film's director, Sonali Kulkarni, Raghav Juyal, and Kayadu Lohar attended the press meet in Mumbai. There, Nani spoke about the film's rating.
