President Donald Trump has warned Iran over the averted terrorist incident on a flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv, as the UAE hailed Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian pilot who prevented a "serious terrorist incident" and a "potential catastrophe", for his "courage and responsibility".
Machchhar, who was airlifted to the UAE from Saudi Arabia where the plane had landed, is being treated in a hospital in Abu Dhabi after being seriously injured in the attack by the co-pilot, identified by Israeli officials as an Omani citizen.
The attack occurred on Wednesday when the co-pilot, identified as an Omani citizen, allegedly carried out "Islamist radical indoctrination" and attempted to hijack the plane. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his claim that the co-pilot had undergone such indoctrination. However, provided no evidence to back the assertion.

According to Gulf News, the UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr Anwar Gargash, praised Machchhar for his professionalism and moral conviction in the face of the attack, stating that he "embodied courage and responsibility" in averting a potential catastrophe.
Gargash also cautioned against promoting conspiracy theories about the incident. Emphasizing the need for vigilance in confronting future possible acts of extremism and terrorism.
US President Donald, Trump told. reporters that early information he has received suggests there are links between the attack and Tehran, but did not elaborate. In a video message, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin, Netanyahu said.
