With just under a month to go before its highly anticipated release, the anticipation surrounding Ramayana is intensifying. The film's producers have now confirmed that the movie will hit theaters worldwide on November 5. This marked a significant milestone in its journey.

To further fuel the excitement, advance ticket sales will begin on October 20, coinciding with the Hindu festival of Dussehra. As the release date draws near, the team behind Ramayana is redoubling its efforts to make a major impact in international markets.

Industry insiders reveal that producer Namit Malhotra and his core team are driven by a singular goal: to create the largest Indian film release in history. Their efforts, which include a successful showcase at CinemaCon 2026 and San Diego Comic-Con, have been bolstered by a key partnership with Sony Pictures for global distribution.

As part of its global outreach, the film's producers have undertaken a remarkable linguistic endeavour, translating Ramayana into nearly 40 languages. This ambitious undertaking will enable audiences worldwide to engage with the film in their native tongue, eliminating the need for subtitles.

Notably, this is the first time an Indian film has been dubbed in such a vast array of languages. The comprehensive list of dubbed languages is set to be revealed within the next week or two.

This marked a significant milestone in the film's international distribution.

The music is composed by A R Rahman and Hans Zimmer.

The mythological epic is being made as a two-part saga. With the first instalment arriving in cinemas on November 5, 2026, that is, in the Diwali week. The second part is scheduled for release during Diwali 2027.
