Nigerian Social Media Influencer Arrested for Alleged Links to Global Cocaine Trafficking Network
Afolabi Kazeem Micheal, a 49-year-old Nigerian social media influencer known as 'KC Luxury', has been arrested
According to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Micheal was detained on August 3rd while preparing to board a flight to Paris, with officials alleging he was the 'arrowhead' of a cartel trafficking cocaine from South America through Nigeria to Europe and Asia.

'Upon credible intelligence that he intended to flee the country... our operatives moved decisively and apprehended him at the boarding gate,' said General Buba Marwa, head of the NDLEA. Micheal was carrying more than $12,840 in cash in three currencies, as well as expensive jewellery 'consistent with the proceeds of his illicit trade' when he was arrested.
The arrest is part of a broader investigation into a global cocaine trafficking network, which has also led to the arrests of other suspected members in the UK. The NDLEA vowed to pursue other members of the network and pledged to work closely with international agencies to disrupt the flow of illicit goods.
