India Unveils Sixth Positive Indigenisation List, Boosts Self-Reliance in Defence Manufacturing
The Ministry of Defence on Tuesday unveiled the sixth Positive Indigenisation List (PIL), comprising 405 items with an estimated business potential of Rs 3,070 crore. This move marks another significant step in the government's efforts to promote self-reliance in defence manufacturing under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.

Notified on this list are advanced military aircraft such as the Advanced Light Helicopter, Light Utility Helicopter, Chetak and Cheetah helicopters, as well as fighter jets including the Su-30MKIs, Jaguars and MiG-29s. Additionally, the list includes armoured platforms like the T-72, T-90 and BMP-II, warships, missile systems such as Konkurs-M, Invar and MRSAM, defence electronics including radars, sonars, fire control systems and satellite communication systems, and High Explosive Anti-Tank ammunition.
