Prominent playback singers Sonu Nigam and Kailash Kher have made significant moves in Mumbai’s premium real estate market, offloading their respective commercial office spaces in the prestigious Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). Property registration documents reveal that Sonu Nigam successfully divested a 3,082 sq ft commercial unit for ₹18 crore, marking a profitable turnaround from his purchase just under a year prior.

Nigam, who originally acquired the space in November 2023 for ₹14.30 crore, completed the sale to SAA Estate LLP on September 4, 2026. The transaction, which included two car parking spaces, incurred a stamp duty payment of ₹1.08 crore and highlights the robust appreciation rates currently observed in one of India's most sought-after financial hubs.

The ₹58,404 per sq ft valuation achieved in his latest sale underscores the premium placed on prime, ready-to-occupy commercial real estate in Mumbai. Despite the high visibility of these transactions, neither Nigam nor the purchasing entity, SAA Estate LLP, have offered public comments regarding the specifics of the deal.

In a parallel development occurring within the same business landmark, singer Kailash Kher also parted ways with his office unit at the Trade Centre. Kher’s exit from the property, which is located on the seventh floor directly opposite the MTNL Building, was registered on September 9, 2026.

Having purchased the 2,619 sq ft office in November 2025 for ₹10.50 crore, the singer sold the asset to Lakewater Retail Private Limited for ₹10.75 crore. While the price appreciation appears modest at approximately 2.4%—roughly ₹25 lakh before factoring in the ₹64.50 lakh stamp duty and other operational costs-the sale indicates a strategic shift in Kher’s portfolio management.
