Smallville Almost Received A Spin-Off Starring Two Iconic DC Comics Characters
Smallville, the popular television series that aired from 2001 to 2011, was known for its portrayal of Clark Kent and Superman. However, there was a spin-off project in development that would have featured two iconic DC Comics characters.
The Project
The project, which was announced in 2006, would have consisted of six episodes and starred Stephen Amell as Green Arrow, Justin Hartley as Emerald Archer, and Erica Durance as Lois Lane. The show would have also featured Kyle Gallner as Bart Allen/Impulse, Alan Ritchson as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, and Lee Thompson Young as Victor Stone/Cyborg.

Brainiac's Return
There was also talk of bringing back Brainiac, the primary antagonist of Season 5, played DeKnight also considered casting someone else in the role, possibly even a woman.
