Chennai, the Indian film industry is mourning the loss of a nonagenarian filmmaker, Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, who passed away at Chennai's Kauvery Hospital due to ill health. His frequent collaborator, actor Kamal Haasan, poignantly noted that Rao "decided to die young" and "Dying young need not be a tragedy. It can be glorious," reflecting on a mentor who refused to let his imagination age.
