Novak Djokovic, the world No. 49, looked distressed from the beginning of his first-round match with Mariano Navone at the U.S. Open on Sunday.

The normally passionate Serb struggled to engage the crowd and battled stomach discomfort throughout the match.

The loss came with the roof in Arthur Ashe Stadium closed due to rain, and Djokovic's wife Jelena and children Stefan and Tara were on hand to witness this historic loss.

Navone broke Djokovic for 4-2 in the fourth when the Serb sailed a forehand wide.
