The coaches have been tailored to meet Bangladesh Railway's operational needs while providing passengers with enhanced comfort. The ministry stated that the coaches incorporate several design enhancements and modifications specifically developed for LHB coaches. This includes specially designed reclining seats fitted with stainless steel armrests and footrests. This allows passengers to adjust their seats to different reclining positions.

The seating arrangement also features fans in air-conditioned coaches. An integrated CCTV surveillance system, and a passenger alarm system, all designed to provide a comfortable and safe travel experience for passengers. The coaches have also been adapted to conform to European Standard EN 15227, a crashworthy design that provides improved protection for passengers.

The coaches have been customized for Bangladesh Railway's 415 V electrical system. Functioning on a different voltage than the conventional 750 V system used in coaches operated by Indian Railways. This adaptation shows the Indian Railways' commitment to meeting the specific needs of its international partners.

The partnership between RITES Ltd and Bangladesh Railway has been ongoing since 2015-16. At that time, the Indian factory successfully delivered 120 LHB broad-gauge passenger coaches to the neighbouring country. The latest shipment of 200 coaches, including the initial batch of 18 coaches, further solidifies the association between the two organisations.
