Howard Stern is returning to SiriusXM with one live show a week, plus a new deal with HBO Max. The news comes after Stern struck a new three-year-contract with SiriusXM amid rumors of a retirement or a show cancellation, which he famously pranked his listeners about.

Stern returns to his longtime SiriusXM on September 14 and will embark on one new show a week, airing Monday, down from two per week. Additionally, Stern will adapt his live SiriusXM show into a streamable episode for HBO Max, alongside extras. The Howard Stern Show on HBO Max will debut on September 17, with episodes released on Thursdays.

The news is a significant development for Stern's fans, who had been speculating about the future of his SiriusXM show. With the one-show-per-week format, Howard 101 channel will be leaving the SiriusXM lineup, with Stern's content airing on his remaining channel, Ch. 100.

On September 14, Stern will also unveil a new lineup for his Howard 100 channel, which will include Wrap Up Wednesday, an expanded version of Howard's Wrap Up Show. The show will feature extended conversations and behind-the-scenes content.

The Howard Stern section of the SiriusXM app is also expanding to include Howard Stern Decades, providing access to Stern's content from the 80s, 90s, 00s, and 10s.
