Gunmen Open Fire on 14 People at South African House Party, 11 Killed

Eleven lives lost in a devastating attack on a residential complex in Durban, South Africa, has left a community reeling. On Tuesday, a group of armed assailants breached a home in the KwaMakhutha township, unleashing a hail of gunfire that claimed the lives of ten individuals at the scene.

Four victims were rushed to hospital, where one ultimately succumbed to their injuries, police confirmed.

Law enforcement officials have revealed that several of the victims were under surveillance in connection with illicit activities. Which remain under investigation due to the need to protect ongoing probes. The police are tight-lipped about the motive behind the shooting.

However, they acknowledge that a feud between rival factions cannot be ruled out. According to the authorities, 13 men and one pregnant woman, who was reportedly hosting a gathering at her residence, were caught in the crossfire when three men entered the house and opened fire.
