Bollywood Actor Pankaj Tripathi Opens Up About His Latest Projects and Personal Life
Pankaj Tripathi is set to appear in the highly anticipated film Mirzapur The Movie, marking his latest big-budgeted project. This comes after his recent cameo in filmmaker Amit Rai's Ohh My Dog, a smaller film compared to Mirzapur.
Tripathi believes that trailers play a significant role in a film's appeal, saying 'If it develops curiosity within the audience, they want to see it.' For bigger films like Mirzapur, he notes that creating hype is essential, but budget constraints also come into play.
The 49-year-old actor recently shot for Ohh My Dog in his hometown of Bihar, which was a unique experience for him. 'I used to ride my cycle down those alleys as a child,' he reminisces. 'Now, I'm shooting in the same places where people come out to watch me.' Tripathi fondly recalls the experience, saying that it felt like he was still back home.

Ohh My Dog also marked his reunion with director Amit Rai, who helmed his previous film OMG 2. The project came amid a credit dispute between the makers and actor Paresh Rawal over their 2023 film. Tripathi maintains a neutral stance on the matter, stating 'I don't know much about it. I just hear news like everyone else.' He adds that he prefers not to get involved in controversies.
A busy actor with numerous projects under his belt, Tripathi has taken things slow in recent years. However, he's far from done. 'I'm still in the middle of my break,' he says. 'I'm feeling rejuvenated, but I have 15 days left before I head to Jake forrest.' Tripathi concludes
