One notable example is the change from 'Alfred Hitchcock Presents' to 'The Alfred Hitchcock Hour'. The reason for this shift was reportedly due to the original program's runtime, which was initially a half-hour show. After moving to NBC and doubling its runtime, the show's format changed to an hour-long episode.

In an interview with The Television Academy, producer Norman Lloyd admitted that he didn't really know why the show switched to the hour-long format, though he admitted it might've been to its detriment.
