Take-Two CEO confirms GTA 6s Ultimate Edition outsells standard version.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recently confirmed that the Ultimate Edition of GTA 6 has sold more copies than the standard version, despite its higher price tag.

Key Figures Revealed

A new report from digital intelligence firm Sensor Tower has revealed that 89% of pre-orders for GTA 6 have gone for the Ultimate Edition, which costs $100, while the Standard Edition is priced at $80.

The percentages are consistent across both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms, with 88.5% on the former and 90% on the latter.

According to Sensor Tower's senior vice president and general manager of video game insights, Karl Kontus, this is a significant departure from typical premium shares for games, which usually range between 10-20%.

Kontus attributes the high demand for the Ultimate Edition to the fact that the difference in price between the two versions is not as significant as one might think, given the additional digital goodies included with the pricier option.

Rockstar's long-awaited game is indeed proving to be a challenging one to forecast, with Kontus stating that there is no benchmark for how it will perform from here.

The popularity of the Ultimate Edition versus the Standard Edition remains to be seen, but one thing is certain – GTA 6 fans are eager to get their hands on this highly anticipated game.
