Nidhhi Agerwal Appears Before ED in Betting App Case
Actress Nidhhi Agerwal appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday for questioning in connection with an ongoing money laundering probe into the promotion of illegal betting applications.
As the investigation into the online betting apps intensifies, several celebrities and social media influencers have come under regulatory scrutiny. The probe follows a First Information Report (FIR) registered in Telangana concerning the unlawful endorsement of betting platforms.

The complaint, filed at the Miyapur Police Station in Hyderabad, alleged that prominent personalities actively endorsed and promoted illegal betting applications that lured users into significant financial losses.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has indicated it will take up a series of petitions seeking nationwide regulation and a comprehensive framework to prevent the proliferation of unauthorized online and offline betting apps.
