Dolly Parton: Biopic, Docuseries and Scripted Series Among Planned Projects

After announcing that Dolly Parton passed away on Tuesday at the age of 80, Parton‘s team is now giving insight into the projects the icon had in development that they will continue to make happen. “Dolly worked up until the day she passed away. She loved seeing her dreams come to life and loved knowing her work brought people joy.

Ever the planner, Dolly worked with the team that she handpicked for the past several years to build a project roadmap that will guide us for decades to come,” Parton‘s longtime manager Danny Nozell shared in a statement. Parton passed away peacefully after a “brief battle with cancer” at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, a rep confirmed Tuesday.

She was admitted to the medical facility on Friday after dealing with kidney and autoimmune issues. One of her nephews, Bryan Seaver, recorded a video at her request to release after her death. “This video announcement is something Dolly asked of me years ago, before I fully absorbed it as a future reality,” he shared.
