The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a month-long campaign, Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan, starting September 17 to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years in power. The event will include blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, and outreach to welfare schemes.

The Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan is part of the BJP's efforts to mark significant milestones in Modi's tenure as Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Gujarat. The campaign aims to promote community service and reach out to citizens through various initiatives.

Key Analysis and Detailed Timeline

According to sources, apart from blood donation camps and cleanliness drives, the party will also organize a campaign to take the welfare schemes of the Modi government to the people. This includes Jana Sangh leader Deen Dayal Upadhyaya's birth anniversary on September 25, which falls within the month-long window.

The BJP also confirmed that it will launch a campaign to take the legacy and significance of Vande Mataram across the country.

At the start of the meeting, the party office-bearers recited all six stanzas of the National Song.

Broader Impact and Sector Outlook

BJP President Nitin Nabin on Sunday met the party's new national office-bearers to discuss preparations for the Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan, a month-long campaign which will kick off on September 17 to mark 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in power. Sources stated that apart from blood donation camps, a cleanliness drive would also be held as Gandhi Jayanti falls within the month-long span of the event.

There would also be a campaign to take the welfare schemes of the Modi government to the people, as the birth anniversary of Jana Sangh leader and ideologue Deen Dayal Upadhyaya on September 25 also falls within that month-long window. “Since sewa or service has been synonymous with Modi ji's stints in power as PM, and earlier as Chief Minister of Gujarat, it would be the theme of the Abhiyan,” stated a national office-bearer of the party who did not wish to be named.

Party general secretary Vinod Tawde had informed reporters about the Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan, saying it would coincide with the “Seva Pakhwada” that the BJP observes across the country to mark the birthday of PM Modi on September 17. He had stated that October 7 will mark the completion of 25 years since Modi first took the oath as Gujarat CM.

The party on Saturday also passed a resolution to uphold the “honour, dignity, legacy and national status of the complete Vande Mataram”, condemning the Congress’s decision to sing only the first two stanzas of the National Song. The BJP also confirmed that it will launch a campaign to take the legacy and significance of Vande Mataram across the country.

At the start of the meeting, the party office-bearers recited all six stanzas of the National Song.
