President Droupadi Murmu will confer the National Teachers’ Awards on 48 school teachers on September 5, on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, the Ministry of Education stated on Friday.
According to the Ministry, the awardees were selected through a three-stage selection process carried out at district, state and national levels The 48 awardees represent 27 states, seven UTs and six organisations under the Central government. Of the total awardees, 26 are men and 22 are women. Short documentaries highlighting the exemplary work and achievements of each awardee will also be showcased during the award ceremony.
