India News: Bihar Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has approached the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), seeking an independent inquiry into the alleged custodial death of a 19-year-old youth in Madhubani. In his letter, Yadav stated Roshan Yadav, who had been in judicial custody since May 27, was found dead inside Madhubani’s Mandal Karagar on August 10.
While jail authorities maintained that he passed away Three FIRs have been filed against 28 named and around 900 unnamed people in connection with clashes between law enforcement personnel and students in Jharkhand’s Giridih and Hazaribag, an official stated on Sunday. The cases relate to incidents during student protests in the two districts.
Law enforcement personnel have booked the named individuals along with the unidentified persons in the FIRs.
