Aarya Babbar Questions Yash's Ravana Look in Ramayana, Says Saif Ali Khan Was 'Very Good'

Aarya Babbar, set to play the role of Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, has expressed his support for Saif Ali Khan's portrayal of the demon king in Om Raut's Adipurush. In a recent interview, Babbar raised questions about what sets Yash's look in Ramayana apart from his performance in Adipurush.

According to Babbar, Saif's portrayal of Ravana in Adipurush has garnered widespread praise, with reports indicating he delivered a strong performance. The actor's success is often tied to the director's vision and interpretation. With Babbar noting that Saif's character was shaped by the director's guidance.

Saif brought a unique intensity to the role, and his overall performance. This includes his appearance, can be seen as an extension of the director's creative direction.

However, Babbar was more critical of Yash's look as Ravana in Ramayana. He stated that while it was too early to comment on what the actor was bringing to the character. He did not feel that Yash's look was significantly different from his previous performances.

Babbar noted that Yash's look in Ramayana was not particularly new. And that he had seen a similar look in his previous film, KGF. Babbar expressed hope that Yash's performance would be good.

And that he might bring a different approach to the character in the film.

Babbar also took into account the fact that Yash is playing the role for an international audience. Which may affect the character's portrayal. He noted that the director, Nitesh Tiwari, is working to create a unique look for the character, and that Babbar is hopeful that the final product will be impressive.

The first part is scheduled to release on November 5, 2026.
