WorldPride Music Festival Sets Guinness World Record for Most Confetti Released

Amsterdam, Netherlands - In celebration of 25 years of marriage equality, the WorldPride Music Festival took place in Amsterdam from July 31 to August 1, featuring a star-studded lineup and a historic performance by Madonna and Kylie Minogue.

The Power of Pride

Executive producer Jake Resnicow explained that the festival aims to create a platform where artists can debut new music and create moments they couldn't create anywhere else. 'When thousands of people from around the world come together, even for one weekend, they realize they're not alone,' he said.

A Night to Remember

The two-night festival featured performances by Honey Dijon, Purple Disco Machine, LP Giobbi, Hayla, Jennifer Cooke, Oliver Heldens, Bebe Rexha, and Paris Hilton. However, the highlight of the evening was a surprise joint performance by Madonna and Kylie Minogue.

A New Song Debut

Madonna brought her Club Confessions series to the festival, featuring exclusive pop-up dance and listening parties hosted by The Queen of Pop. She was later joined by longtime collaborator and producer Stuart Price before Grammy-winning DJ and producer Honey Dijon took over behind the decks.

A Celebration of Love

WorldPride Music Festival Amsterdam set an official Guinness World Record for the most confetti released in one minute, solidifying its place as a vibrant celebration of love, unity, and authenticity. The festival was produced by Resnicow in partnership with Insomniac, a music festival and live events experience creator.

A New Chapter

Looking forward, WorldPride Music Festival will bring its mission to Miami's Factory Town to launch the Global Pride Music Festival in February 2027. The event will be an open-air, multi-stage experience from sunset to sunrise, marking a new chapter for the LGBTQ+ community.
