Police in Adimali have confirmed that two one-year-old twin brothers died after ingesting a chemical suspected to be pesticide at their home in Idukki district, Kerala.

According to authorities, the twins developed serious health complications soon after consuming the substance. The children were rushed to a nearby hospital by their family members after they began showing severe symptoms of distress.

"The twins were admitted to the hospital with severe symptoms and were undergoing emergency treatment," said a police officer investigating the tragic incident. Despite intensive medical interventions by the attending physicians, both infants succumbed to the toxic ingestion.

Local police officials have registered a case of unnatural death under relevant sections and launched an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy. Investigators are examining how the toxic agricultural chemical was stored and accessible to toddlers within the domestic premises.
