Actor-producer Manasi Parekh is gearing up for the festive season. And for her, Navratri is more than just a celebration â it's a time to connect with her daughter Nirvi and the divine feminine energy.
"When we were young, it was a very small affair. Like, it was not as extravagant as it has become now," Manasi recalls, reflecting on her Navratri preparations. I don't follow the colours as per the days, but we give it our own twist.
Manasi and her husband, Parthiv Gohil, a singer, are co-hosting a Navratri celebration that brings together a diverse group of guests. This includes friends, family, and industry professionals. On stage, the couple performs alongside their friend Nirvi, who occasionally joins in on special occasions.

"Nirvi loves the festival just like her mother. She knows all the Garba moves, and even sings on stage with her mum and dad," Manasi says, beaming with pride. "We have our family, friends from the industry coming.
Itâs like our celebration with the people we love and Nirvi gets to sing in front of 15-20,000 people. So, now it has become very normal for her."
Manasi also emphasizes the importance of discipline and diet during Navratri. I keep my diet very light because if you are performing and dancing, you can't eat too much she says. I try not to eat after midnight because that's one thing which is a big trap.
