Kashmiri Pandit Employees Demand Enhanced Security Amid Fresh

A day after another poster threatening Kashmiri Pandits circulated online, the employees recruited under the Prime Minister's Rehabilitation package for Kashmiri Pandits have written to J&K's Chief Secretary seeking enhanced security and protection for these employees. This is the first time in decades that threat letters have included personal details of the migrants, down to the house number and street name. The letter says these threats have created a “deep sense of fear and insecurity” among the Kashmiri Pandit employees and their families.

"Ensure that employees whose names, addresses or vehicle details have appeared in such threats receive immediate protection and necessary security guidance," the letter says.

"We sincerely hope that the Government will treat this matter with the utmost seriousness and take immediate steps to ensure the safety and confidence of all PM Package employees".
