Jammu-Srinagar to get third Vande Bharat train via Udhampur: Union Minister

Indian Railways has announced plans to introduce a new Vande Bharat train service between Jammu and Srinagar, providing passengers with an additional travel option and increasing capacity between the two cities of Jammu and Kashmir.

New Service and Increased Capacity

The new service will operate as Train number 26407/26408 Jammu Tawi-Srinagar-Jammu Tawi Vande Bharat Express. This is in response to a popular public demand for an additional travel option, according to Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh.

Currently, two Vande Bharat trains are operating between Jammu and Srinagar, with four services running daily. The new service will provide passengers with another route choice, reducing travel time and increasing the overall capacity between the two cities.
