Assistant Professor Arrested for Allegedly Sexually Harassing Female Students in Jodhpur University

A university in Jodhpur has taken swift action against an assistant professor accused of subjecting female students to obscene behavior, abusive language, and stalking. The accused, who had been teaching on a temporary basis for over three years, was arrested and sent to a two-day police remand.

A female student had filed a complaint alleging that the professor had been harassing her since January. The student submitted evidence, including WhatsApp messages, which police say will be used in the investigation.

The police station's Station House Officer confirmed that the professor had been arrested and sent to remand. The officer stated that the professor would be interrogated and that data on his mobile phone would be examined.
