Amélie Hoeferle credits Erica Scoggins with launching her acting career through a short film.

Amélie Hoeferle, the 24-year-old actress behind Ramona in Prime Video's 'Sterling Point', has a story to tell about how she found her passion for acting.

The Power of Sisterhood

Hoeferle credits writer-director Erica Scoggins with introducing her to the world of film, and their collaboration on a short film has had a lasting impact on her career.

"That was myto film," says Hoeferle. "We went to a couple film festivals with it and flew to France. Erica's really the main reason why I thought it would even be an option for me in life to do this."

Hoeferle plays Ramona in the Megan Park-created coming-of-age series, which premiered on August 5. The show explores themes of sisterhood, love, and self-discovery as Ramona navigates her newfound relationship with Annie.

"The concept of finding out you have a sister, but you don't obviously have a relationship with her, really interested me," Hoeferle says. "Sisterhood between two sisters is so raw, and it's complicated. It's a complicated relationship. When it's good, it's so good."

Hoeferle draws inspiration from her own experiences as a sister, having recently moved in with her sibling. Her portrayal of Ramona has resonated deeply with audiences, who are eager to see more of this talented young actress.
