The Beatles Untold Stories: Sam Mendes to Direct Epic Biopic Series
The Beatles are set to take center stage in a new cinematic event, with director Sam Mendes leading the charge. The four-film project will tell the story of each member of the iconic band from their unique perspective.
Recreating the famous 'Abbey Road' album cover is just one aspect of this ambitious undertaking. Drone footage recently captured the recreation of the iconic London crosswalk photo, featuring actors Harris Dickinson, Paul Mescal, Joseph Quinn, and Barry Keoghan as John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr respectively.

The 'Abbey Road' album was originally released on August 8, 1969, and featured some of the band's most beloved classics, including 'Come Together,' 'Something,' 'Here Comes the Sun,' and 'Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End.'
Mendes is directing four separate biopics, each focusing on a different member of the Beatles: Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, and Starr. The project marks the first time Apple Corps Ltd. and the estates of John Lennon and George Harrison have granted full life story and music rights for a scripted film.
