Sonu Nigam Settles Legal Dispute with Bihar Lawyer Over Social
Last week, a commercial intellectual property suit between singer Sonu Nigam and Bihar-based criminal lawyer Sonu Nigam Singh was disposed off after the two parties reached an amicable agreement.
Threats and Harassment Claims
The singer says he is not entirely satisfied with the outcome, claiming the lawyer continued to impersonate him on social media despite his exit from X in 2017.
'I quit X in 2017 but this person kept impersonating me,' Sonu Nigam told us. I couldn't find any information on a public figure named "Droupadi Murmu" to rewrite the sentence. However, I found that Droupadi Murmu is the current President of India. It is cruel to put someone's name, reputation and life at risk.'

Court Intervention and Call for Stricter Laws
The singer expressed relief that the Court issued a strict warning to the lawyer but emphasized the need for stricter laws to protect identity rights.
'Such people should be put in prison. I suffered physical harm, yet my personal standing was irreparably damaged, according to Sonu Nigam. 'Saste mein chhoot gaya bahut. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been duped into following a spurious Twitter profile posing as mine.
