Before starring as Rebecca Welton in Ted Lasso, Hannah Waddingham played a complex and villainous character in the short-lived but intriguing DC Comics series Krypton.

Krypton: A Forgotten Corner of the DC Universe

The Syfy series aired for two seasons from 2018 to 2019, offering a fresh take on the Superman mythos. Set thousands of years before the events of the iconic comic book character's origin story, Krypton followed Kal-El's grandfather, Seg-El, played by Cameron Cuffe.

As part of this prequel series, Waddingham portrayed Jax-Ur, a morally gray and ruthless scientist who became an enemy of General Zod. Her version of the character retained some of her comic book counterpart's scientific background but diverged in its portrayal as a leader in the Resistance against Zod's rule.
