Las Vegas, September 7, 2023 - A jury is set to hear closing arguments in the trial of Duane Davis, accused of arranging the 1996 killing of Tupac Shakur.

Davis, 63, is charged in Nevada and has pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors with the Clark County District Attorney's office say that Davis has essentially admitted to arranging Shakur's killing.

According to defense lawyer, Davis' words were mere bravado and could not be corroborated. He also stated there is no hard evidence to back up Davis' claims.

The case began on September 7, 1996, when Davis and three other men, including his nephew, went looking for Shakur and his record executive Marion Brown at a Las Vegas casino.
