Batwara 1947 Box Office in Free Fall After Promising Start
Batwara 1947, a period drama starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta, opened with a promising start on Independence Day but ended its opening weekend on a disappointing note. The film's box office performance was expected to build on the momentum gained from the holiday, but it saw a sharp fall in collections on Sunday.
The film earned around ₹7.25 crore gross in India on its third day, taking its three-day total to approximately ₹31.61 crore. On Sunday, the film recorded around 22% occupancy across 7,239 shows, a significant drop from Day 2 when it had collected ₹13.50 crore.
