Exclusive| Arslan Goni on his equation with Kushal Tandon post Alliance fight: Koi khandaani dushmani thodi hai

Arslan Goni became a household name with his stint in the reality show Alliance, and he is loving the learning that the show left him with. “Those 42 days have taught me things which I have not learned in my lifetime, things that we take for granted and the considerations which are not considerations anymore. Whatever you are doing, there is nothing in your hands,” he says.

One of the major highlights of Arslan Goni’s journey on the show became his fight with Kushal Tandon. The two entered as each other’s allies, but after Arslan’s brother, Aly Goni entered the show, the two had a fight. Mention the fight to him and he says, “It's so ironic because the public has commended that I was so dignified in that whole situation but then, at the same time, I was the only one who had a major fight in the whole season.”

Elaborating on their feud, Arslan shares, “What the audience is seeing is just half an hour of 24 hours that we have lived through. And when Aly came into the house, at that point of time, there were certain factors present. There were a lot of people who were against Kushal and me as I was the person who had given him so much freedom that he could do anything. Although I used to make people understand, still, I was party to whatever was happening and to the emotion that was going against him. People felt both of us were doing it all together.”

Ask him if Aly Goni coming as a wildcard influenced his bond with Kushal Tandon and Arslan denies it. “I don't think that Aly and Kushal had a fight by that time and after that, the audience have seen very little. In between, what Kushal and I talked about was that I will make him sit with Aly and get things sorted. I don't know whether it was shown or not,” he says, adding, “The toughest week was the third week because I was totally mentally drained at that time. It's not like I suddenly became dumbfounded or got influenced. It was also the state of mind I was going through at that point of time. I will not say that it was Aly's fault or someone else's fault. All of them collectively did not like Kushal and I was friends with them. But, I don't think that they could have had such a big hand to influence me. If they had to, then Ruhee Dosani would have done it in the first week itself.”

So, has he tried to sort things out with Kushal after coming out of the show? “It's not been a conscious effort but I'm sure that aisa kuch bada hai bhi nahi. We did a show and you move on, aisi koi khandaani dushmani thodi hai. I haven't spoken to him yet consciously. Also, we were not like ‘friends’ before we came to the show,” he responds.
